The organization
Miro's independent music practice, active since 2013 on Bandcamp with a parallel Spotify catalog and a 272-video YouTube channel. Twelve full projects, 141 public tracks, and roughly six and a quarter hours of released music, alongside Unity-built interactive work.
The challenge
Sustain a serious independent creative practice: writing, producing, mixing, mastering, releasing, and promoting, with no label, on the same clock as full-time delivery work.
What I delivered
A 20-track companion album that begins with 'Where Do You Come From?' and ends with 'Everything Before', answering the previous album's closing question.
A 21-track long-form album, the largest single project in the catalog and the first half of a two-album arc.
A four-track collaborative EP, entirely produced by ØLSTEN with all lyrics written by Joz.
A twelve-track album with a wide collaborator list including Koukla, Maeve, Rachel Fridkin, Khadi Dako, Sarah Jouheri, and Le Rãnce, later extended into a spherical video world.
A twelve-track album featuring Maeve, Zencali, and Somos, with artwork by Rinatto L'Bank. Includes 'Space Ocean' and 'Into The Mountains', both of which became Unity environments.
A ten-track album written and produced entirely by ØLSTEN, opening with 'Mask', a title later reused for the Unity interactive experience.
A twenty-track album written and produced entirely by ØLSTEN, with artwork by Jabari Phillips.
